Alaska Medical Missions Partner Connections

The primary way Alaska Medical Missions fulfills our mission is by making fully functional medical supplies and equipment available to individuals, groups, and organizations with humanitarian and compassionate concerns for communities in need around the world. A second way we do this is by helping connect people looking for ways to serve in developing nations with awareness of opportunities that some of our AMM partners may have. If you’re interested in serving this way, here are some AMM Partner Connections you might consider.

Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA)

A major component of CMDA’s ministry efforts is missions, and we are dedicated to both domestic and international missions. Through our various missions, we provide numerous opportunities for healthcare professionals to use their God-given skills to meet the needs of others around the world and share the gospel with them.

Mobile Medics International

https://www.mobilemedicsinternational.org/
One of the main reasons Mobile Medics International was founded was the need for small, self-contained, mobile healthcare teams that can go to where people are unable to get to centralized medical facilities. Whether its hurricane ravaged Haiti, earthquake destroyed Nepal, flooded Houston Texas, refugees fleeing war torn Syria, or impoverished people in the Philippines, MMI’s amazing volunteers have been on the ground providing care to the world’s most vulnerable populations.

Coffee 4 Kids Honduras

Coffee 4 Kids Honduras http://www.coffee4kidshonduras.com/

Coffee 4 Kids is a story about one woman’s heart to change the lives of hundreds of sick children and families. During a particularly dark time in 2006, dietitian Shawn Plowman visited San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on a missions trip with her church. While volunteering in Mario Rivas Hospital, the second-largest public hospital in Honduras, a light switched on. Amidst a crumbling pediatric ward, one filled with cockroaches and cries of hunger, Shawn saw an opportunity to change the course of the lives of hundreds of children and families suffering from malnutrition, disease, and poverty.
